Apple expects to sell many iPhone 14, with or without price increase
The iPhone 14 is just around the corner. And despite rumors of a price increase for the Pro range (it seems that the base model will not go up), Apple hopes to sell many terminals of its flagship. Or at least that's how the last report in which they echo from MacRumors: Manzana it would have increased the planned production of the iPhone 14 to supply the demand.
This is an important change with respect to the rumors that had been anticipated in the middle of the year, especially motivated by the more than probable slowdown in the economy of many countries with the arrival of autumn. However, everything seems to indicate that Apple expects a strong demand for the iPhone 14 compared to its initial forecasts. For this reason, it has asked its suppliers to increase the production of the terminal by 5% greater than what was initially planned.
According to Taiwan Economic TimessApple asked suppliers to increase the number of iPhone 14 up to 95 million unitsan increase of 5% compared to the company's previous expectations of 90 million.
More iPhone 14 Pro Max, the most expensive of the entire range
However, the interesting thing about the report does not lie so much in the increase in figures, rather in the model for which said increase would seem to be focused: the iPhone 14 Pro Max, precisely which is expected to be the most expensive of the entire range.
With September just around the corner, and thus its introduction, mass production of the iPhone 14 is expected to start this August, as suppliers have been ramping up component shipments in recent weeks.
Another issue to keep in mind is that the iPhone 14 range will be more unified than on other occasions: two sizes 6.1 and 6.7 inches in the basic and Pro ranges, and only the latter would take the new chips and new camera advances, leaving the base model with the current chip and a more moderate price compared to the Pro.
In any case, it is still early to know the differences between the two ranges now, especially in terms of manufacturing materials and technical specifications, despite the fact that the rumors have been quite constant these months.
