Alyx Steam Workshop Mods Worth Playing

Half-Life: Alyx's Workshop tools for modding have been out for a while. This is a set of software utilities that allow anyone to create and install custom add-ons for games, and there are already many to choose from. We tried a bunch of mods to find one worth playing.

Cas & Chary Gift

Cas and Chary VR is a YouTube channel Hosted by Dutch duo Casandra Vuong and Chary Keijzer, who have been documenting their VR journey since 2016. They shared their picks and provided additional insights for "The Road to VR" viewers.

I've tried about 20 different mods over the past few months. Some mods are more like add-ons to the base game, offering a whole new experience to the original campaign, while others feel like entire standalone campaign levels.Playing the game again and checking out these mods is a great way to extend the game Half-Life: Alyx.

There are so many mods out there, though, so if you're wondering which to try first, here's a list of my 10 favorites. I've tried to make this list as diverse as possible because I want to showcase a wide variety of mods.

If you don't know how to install mods, check out the videos around 9:12 minute mark. Don't worry, it's easy!

#10 – "Polaris Bowling" by Ice52

So, you have defeated the combined army. Now is the time to relax, and the best place to relax is at the North Star Bar, where you can dive into leisure activities such as swimming pools. The bar also has a 4 lane bowling alley with working scoreboards and realistic bowling balls. This is probably a mod that you really only need to install and play once, but since it's so different from other mods, I wanted to include it because it shows what can be done with these tools.

#9 - "Mini Golf" by MarioWalrus & Kaesar

As the name suggests, play mini golf in an atmosphericly designed environment built from the ground up using base game assets. It's a short seven-hole course that you can walk through on your own. Don't forget to enjoy the view from time to time!

#8 - "Victory Mine: Map Lab One Room" by photo1

Victory Mine is an inspired mine level Half-Life 2: Episode 2 There you have to fight to the ground. You'll fight various types of Antlions and some Union soldiers here and there. It's a short campaign and the intense combat will definitely test your skills, but if you have time to look around, the map is also atmospheric and beautifully lit.

#7 – Epic's "Glory Gloves"

Glorious Gloves is a plugin for any part of the game.By opening it, Alyx's Gravity Gloves Half-Life 2. Now you can levitate, pull or push objects away. You can also deal melee damage by punching with closed fists. According to the modders, you can even complete 90% of the original game with just Glorious Gloves and no guns at all.

#6 – КотЭ's "Sandbox"

This mod adds a spawn menu that allows you to spawn different characters and items. This can be NPCs, props, dolls, weapons and entities. This mod is a great way to get an up-close look at all the fun mods Valve has made for the game. Maybe you want to take a closer look at Jeff?

#5 – "Beyond" by paradoxlol

Overrun is an adventure map with less exploration and a faster paced combo action. I like this game because it has gameplay elements of dungeon games. You complete a "room" by defeating all enemies, giving you some time to heal before moving on to the next. These "rooms" are small, but well thought out, with props and items that you can use to your advantage.

#4 – "Mine Rest (Chapter 1)" by SadlyItsBradley

Mine Break is a mod series that feels like a standalone campaign. The quest story is about exploring an abandoned warehouse filled with valuable resources that can help fight coalition oppression. The first chapter lets you explore a dark underground mine, where you'll find puzzles, scripted scenarios, and encounter various enemies. It's a well-paced campaign with a mix of exploration and combat. Still, this might not be for the faint of heart.

#3 – SadlyItsBradley's "Crash Course"

Crash Course and Mine Break are from the same creator. This is another great map that feels like a full campaign. It feels huge when you explore the large open area. Like the previous mods, this mod also has scripted scenes and puzzles. I especially like how creatively creator SadlyItsBradley uses the base game assets, some of which might surprise you. Overall, it was a fun experience. It's also not as dark as my rest, so probably better for everyone.

#2 - "Alyx Plays Minecraft" by Exe

Alyx Plays Minecraft is different because it's a map with all Minecraft assets imported, which makes it look like a completely different game.

you will be in a my world A world where coalition forces have stolen your diamonds and you must fight them to get them back. You'll start in the forest outside, but soon you'll be in the dark dungeon, which is kind of scary, like in my world. if you have played my worldyou'll especially enjoy exploring this, but even if you don't, the contrast between the two alyx and my world The graphics themselves are interesting.

#1 - 'GoldenEye Alyx 007', 'dam'&'facility' by Eagle One, Jacob Hertz Da Deer and Taek

Say goodbye to Alyx Vance, you are now Alyx Bond. This is a four-part mod series with all maps based on the classic Nintendo 64 Golden Eye 007 map. Interestingly, the developers of these mods decided to use assets from the base game instead of importing their own.

The gameplay is also fun; it feels like a full, self-contained campaign that forces you to take strategic action. Overall, this is an impressive piece of work and I would recommend it to everyone.
